Kristina olimpijka - Kristina the medal winner

The Olympic games came and went. We cheered, rejoiced, cried, worried and knitted! Along with the Summer Olympics in London, Ravelry.com organized another kind of Olympic games - in knitting.
The task was to choose an event you were to take part in, to choose whether you'll take part individually or as a part of a team, and to wait for the Olympics in London to be officially open. And then - let the knitting begin!
I decided to take part in the event of shawl knitting with the team NS Needles. The team had 15 members and we achieved quite a lot :)
The project I chose is a triangle shaped scarf called Pamuya, using Alize Bahar green and gray cotton yarn. It consists of a multitude of different patterns, which was one of the reasons why I chose it as the ravellenic challenge, but it almost cost me my medal. Luckily the closing ceremony in London lasted a long time, so I managed to finish the project in the nick of time.
This was a very exciting experience and I can't wait for the winter Olympics to begin!
