Čestitke - zaboravljena umetnost (Christmas cards - the forgotten art)

U eri moderne komunikacije i nedostatka vremena, retko kad imamo vremena da makar podignemo telefonsku slušalicu i čestitamo nekom praznike, a kamoli prošetamo do pošte i pošaljemo čestitku. Ove godine sam se zarekla da neću sebi dozvoliti još jedne praznike kod kojih se lepe želje šalju SMS-om, pa sam se bacila na posao. Dakle, evo čestitki:

In this day and age of modern communication and lack of time, we rarely find the time to pick up the phone and call our loved ones for Christmas, not to mention to walk down to the post office and send them a Christmas card. Therefore, this year I made a promise to myself that I would not allow another holiday season to go by with me sending Christmas wishes by text messages. So, I got down to work. And here are the Christmas cards:

Mustre za zvezde i cvetiće se mogu pronaći u mojoj omiljenoj knjizi "Knitting Over The Edge". Osim za čestitke, zvezdice su super poslužile i za ukrašavanje poklona, a i kao ukrasi za jelku ili prozor.

The patterns for the stars and flowers can be found in my all time favourite book "Knitting Over The Edge". The flowers and stars proved to be a great addition to gift wrapping, as well as wonderful decorations for the Christmas tree or a window.
